What the job types check
A flight can be perfectly safe and still be the wrong time to do the job - a calm, clear late afternoon is fine for flying but poor for a mapping grid (long shadows) and useless for a thermal solar scan (irradiance too low for faults to show). Picking a job type adds those requirements on top of the safety verdict.
A job type can never make a flight look safer than it is. It can only hold the verdict where it is or lower it - the safety score always wins.
Photography (stills)
Stills and real-estate work. Wants steady air and, usually, a low warm sun.
Video / cinematic
Video. The most wind-sensitive camera mission - gusts show up as gimbal jitter.
Mapping / survey
Photogrammetry and survey grids. Wants a high sun or flat overcast light, and calm air across a long automated flight.
Inspection (structure)
Close-proximity work on structures, roofs and towers. Wind matters more than usual because you are flying near a fixed object.
Solar PV thermal inspection
Thermal PV scanning to IEC TS 62446-3 - needs real irradiance on the panels and low wind.
Agricultural spraying
Agricultural dispensing. Drift control drives everything; needs a light steady breeze, not dead calm.
